I thought I'd do something a little bit different this New Year's Eve by adding a touch of Victorian to my look. We'll be in Edinburgh (possibly my favourite town EVER) for the Hogmanay celebrations and it's a town that lives and breathes gothic architecture, so I thought this gown would be the perfect accoutrement for dinner at a fabulous gothic-inspired restaurant in a 16th century building!
The dress is made by Hell Bunny, who are fast becoming one of my favourite clothing lines to ogle. Certainly a little 'darker' than I usually wear, but tremendously cool nonetheless, I've also be very impressed the quality of their garments, including their petticoats (I now have a short and a mid-length petticoat from their range). Also offering quite a few rockabilly, 50s-inspired gowns (with a gothic twist, natch), they're certainly worth a look. I picked up my 'La Vintage' gown from Scene Dead's eBay store. Now I just have to cross my fingers that it arrives in time!
I love this dress! It's so feminine and gothic :)

Aww, I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time for our trip to Edinburgh, so I've had to resort to my back-up dress that I (luckily) bought yesterday! Not quite as gothic, but still pouffy and cool :)

Well I go to a goth club sometimes so this would look fantastic there! Have you finished your trip to the UK now then?

No - another THREE weeks. I feel tired just thinking about it! :)

Also - wow! A goth club! I don't think I'd ever be quite brave enough to venture into one, but I thought I could prettify this and... who am I kidding? I'm going to need to go to a goth club, aren't I.

I bought this dress from an online shop, I was appauled by the quality and the sizing. As it is made in China, the dress sizes are much smaller than they are meant to be, I ordered a size 14 (to accomodate for my bust, my mother was going to take it in at the waist.) However, even though it was listed as a size 14 and the label at the top reads 'large', the label in the underskirt reads 'Made in China, UK size 10'. Looking closer at the stitching, there is no over locking and this means that one wash and it will fray and come apart. The stitching through out the entire dress is sloppy and unfinished. I sincerly hope that this is just a one off, but be warned! I am going to have to re-do all the sewing and adjust it. Not impressed considering I payed £45 for it. Such a shame as it is one of the most gorgeous dresses I have ever seen.

I'm sorry to hear you had such a poor time with your dress! :(
I purchased a 14, but it fits reasonably well, and while I agree that some of the fabric isn't of the greatest quality, I wasn't bothered at the time, because it looked so good on, and I didn't find any issues with the finish of the dress (I thought it was quite good).
Might it be wortwhile contacting Hell Bunny regarding the quality, and perhaps they'll exchange it for one that's not so troublesome?

I have already had it exchanged for a larger size, I originally got a size 12, but found it to be too small around my bust but fine around my waist. When I received the 14, it was actually smaller than the 12! By this time I had waited over 2 weeks and now I just don't have the time to get it changed again.
It is so disappointing as it's currently hanging in my room awaiting to be altered so I can't wear it.
I would normally contact Hell Bunny, but I don't have much time so I think it'll just be easier to fix it.

I totally agree with you Mariea, the dress is suitable for prom nights and even special events. I love color black that's why I adore the dress.
