Modern Vintage: Iron Candelabra from Homes Direct

I am declaring 2010 to be the Year of the Dinner Party - at least, it will be at my house! I went to my first 'How to Host a Murder' dinner party about six months ago (a 1930s party!) and had such a delightful time, that I can't wait to try my hand at hosting my own.

I'm thinking Victorian, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s themed parties should be on the cards this year (in the least!), and now that I have my very own "Victorian" dress, that particular theme has risen in the ranks of which party should happen first!

So... Victorian costume? Check! Ideas for what to serve? Check! Now for decorating ideas, and I thought I'd start with this chandelier styled candelabra.

Made from iron and with a lovely antiqued finish, its old-world feel is perfect for a gothic-inspired table setting. It's big enough to cast sufficient light that you could get away without having to use artificial (read: modern) lighting, which means everyone will be looking their best, with the added bonus of casting plenty of shadows for our "murderer" to lurk in!
